I may also ask you for information when you enter a competition or promotion sponsored by me, and when you report a problem with my site;

1.1.2. if you contact me, I may keep a record of that correspondence;

1.1.3. I may also ask you to complete surveys that I use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them;

2.1. Please note that any of my future advertisers may use cookies, over which I have no control.

3. Where I store your personal data

3.1 I will take all necessarys step to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

3.2. All information you provide to me is stored on my secure servers. Where I have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of my site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. I ask you not to share a password with anyone.

3.3. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although I will do my best to protect your personal data, I cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to my site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once I have received your information, I will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

4. Uses made of the information

4.1. I use information held about you in the following ways:

4.2. We will not intentionally use your data, or permit third parties to use your data. All data will be kept confidential on this site. Notwithstanding, third parties may, through means outwith our control, contact you regarding sales. We will do our best to prevent this.

4.3. If you are an existing member, I will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS) with information about goods and services appertaining to this site.

4.4. If you are a new customer, and where permitted selected third parties to use your data, I (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this.

4.5. If you do not want me to use your data in the future please tick the relevant box situated on the form on which I collect your data (the registration form).

This does not included internal (this site) emails to users. This will always be available.

4.6. I will not disclose information about identifiable individuals to my future advertisers, but I may provide them with aggregate information about my users (for example, I may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). I may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1).

5. Disclosure of your information

5.1. I may disclose your personal information to third parties: This being 4.6 above.

5.1.1. in the event that I sell vote4toptunes I may have to disclose your personal data to the prospective buyer of such business or assets;

6.1. You have the right to ask me not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. I will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if I intend to use your data for such purposes or if I intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms I use to collect your data. You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us through the site.

6.2. My site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of my partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. The Act gives you the right to access information held about this site. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet my costs in providing you with details of the information I hold about you.

Any changes I may make to my privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.
