GET YOUR MUSIC HEARD BY THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.

We launched this voluntary site so you can get your music out there for all to hear. I know exactly what it´s like (FYI - I´m an ex-drummer and student).  

We are building up a decent membership base which will give you a more balanced feedback. 

We have European, American and Australia members so your music will be out there. That´s one of the biggest problems you face, trying to get your music heard by enough people. 

We know music is not simply about voting or charts. But, this is a great opportunity for you to check if your music is liked by the people who would buy it. Simple. No more no less.

It´s not a competition to see who gets the highest points. It´s a rating on what people think to give you feedback.

Anything above 35 has been well received.

I remember a friend of ours wrote a terrific track and could not get it the recognition it deserved. What did she do?

She played about with it to please the opinions of a few in the industry (who did not all have the same views). She was left with 6 different versions. Confusion. And, it cost her a kings ransom to be confused! Crazy!

Here´s what you should gain from the site.

Knowledge: It´s a great advantage to know what the public think. It helps you decide on so many things.

Exposure: It will get your music heard by the public. Most of whom would never have had the chance before.

This is really all that matters to start with.

The numbers shown on the chart are total averages out of 50. That´s why you see 36.5 etc.

To upload a track(s):- Firstly, save it in a file on your computer. Register on the site under TALENT. A box will appear then click the BROWSE icon. Find the file you track(s) is/are on, save and the rest is automatic. Simple.

Remember; the voting points only relate to the track and not the artist. e.g. "Would you go and see them live"? This is based on the track only. "Would you like to hear more of their music" could change that answer! 

At the end of each month the chart will show who had the highest points and you will be given the opportunity to have an advert up for the following month. Photo, links to web site etc.

This is just for interest. It´s always good to get a bit of recognition.

We won´t upload photos, gigs or artist information at this stage as the site is free and it would be too costly for us just now. Unfortunately we don´t have the same financies as Myspace so, it´s a bit at a time.

Once we get a bit more established we can start to indulge in different functions to help you. 

There is a small profile section when you upload your track(s) but not enough to satisfy everyone.

Here are some of the functions we are thinking about; 

1. Age groups, students, genres and Areas you can aim for.

2. Additions to the voting points. There are only 10 just now so with feedback we could maybe manage some more but, trying not to burden the voters with too many questions.

Keep an eye on the Feature Box´s for updates on that lot.

When the site is moving, everyone´s eyes will be on it to see who´s liked. That´s for sure.

In fact we have a few good eyes at present!

I once heard a quote from David Gray about Babylon. "I for one didn´t think much of the track but the public did, so we went for it" Look at him now!

REMEMBER. IT´S THE PUBLIC WHO REALLY COUNT

We have some contacts in the music industry but we are not directly involved. We just came up with the idea of helping good talent!

Keep your music safe and copyright ALL your material. That´s easily done by posting it to yourself recorded delivery.
